This is a logo for a magazine about architecture, art and design called empty spaces. The letters are reduced to the bare minimum, so that the enpty spaces between them become dominant. I made this logo together with Kaja Kisilak

This two illustrations are based on a short story of Oscar Wilde - The Selfish Giant. I made it so they can be used in Communist China.

Logos and visual identities

Here are a couple of logotypes. The first Cheap Tunes Records logo that wasn't chosen, but I still like it. It was done in a harmonious collaboration with Žiga Artnak, the second Chep tunes logo with Rok Pezdirc and the third, but not least Penhas Douradas logos with Kaja Kisilak. For Penhas Douradas we made also an visual identity with the unifying component of the rock/ heart shape and the combining of the patterns of three logotypes into the main one. But for this post the logos will do.

Portret

I was thinking what is a portret and I came up with with this answer, that with portrets you always trie to depict, more or less, some layer of human consciousness. I than used an onion as a metaphore.

Agenda Cultural

This is a cover for the monthly portugese magazine about culture. This months theme is books, reading and a book fair taking place in Lisbon.

Cheap Tunes Party posters

Cheap Tunes records, a diy netlabel for which I am doing a redesign right now has an anual party in Ljubljana and this are the posters I made for the occasion. The first one is entitled Cut Trough Crap, then Hooked on Music and finally Saved by DIY. Nice titles are nice.

Loudspeaker Alliance, 2 people left

It came to be that the original trio became a duo. In the spirit of Stalin I started a falsification of photographs removing Tomažič from all the pictures, thus altering the history of the band. I also magnified the heads of two remaining members, one of them being myself making them look more inteligent and powerfull. The result can be seen here.

New Wave Syria

No Way Serious

I've been really lazy with posting on this blog - he last post i made was in september! So here are a couple of new things that I am working on, some of them finished, some of them not, but that's the beauty of blogs, getting away with work in process. I came to realize that this can't be an online portfolio. I should get a webpage for that. For all three of you out there reading this, get ready for some posts.

Loudspeaker Alliance 'Continuous Error'

A digipac cd package modified so it can contain a polyphonic module that plays a melody when opened. The cover and booklet are made in the early 90's slovene pop music esthetic, that is close to the melancoly feel and irony present also in the music. The apple on the cover and interior of the cd is the forbidden fruit, an object with whom comes knowledge that should not be obtained. I used this metaphore of fruit being knowledge and I inserted gigantic fruit in old album photographs of band members as kids feasting on knowledge but finding as adults that the knowledge that is forbidden holds the key.
